Litigation Paralegal
Position: Litigation Paralegal
Pay: $45-$50/hour (depending on experience); Full-time

Position:
This position supports our attorneys and legal team in working effectively and efficiently. Important responsibilities include attention to detail, critical thinking and ensuring that paralegal tasks and projects are completed with a high level of efficiency, confidentiality, accuracy, flexibility, and positivity in order to support the attorneys and our firm.
You’ll work closely with the Firm’s Litigation Partner drafting discovery requests, discovery responses, preliminary drafts of law and motion documents, and pretrial documents. Trial experience is required, as this role includes assisting the Litigation Partner at trial, including travel out-of-county as needed. Experience with General Civil Litigation is required; experience with Trust and Estate Litigation in the Probate Courts is a strong plus but not required. A strong, working knowledge of the Code of Civil Procedure and pre-trial deadlines is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with Firm’s Litigation Partner
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, law and motion documents, ADR documents, and pretrial documents
- Prepare for Trial
- Communicate with clients for the purpose of obtaining facts
- Communicate with opposing counsel on attorney’s behalf
- Perform legal research
- Perform document review including analysis of accountings
- Assist associate attorneys, paralegals and support staff
- Mentor, support, and educate paralegals and support staff to ensure effective and efficient litigation practices
Experience:
- 7+ years of significant litigation experience (required)
- Bench trial and jury experience
- Experience drafting and preparing motions for summary judgement
- Substantial discovery experience
- Substantial General Civil litigation experience required; Probate Court experience ideal but not required
- Proficiency with case management and e-discovery software a plus
